Genealogical Enquiries

The Worshipful Company of Bakers has extensive records reaching back to the mid-fifteenth century. The records do however only relate to the Baking Industry in City of London and its immediate suburbs for a 12 mile circumference.
No pre-World War II records are held at Bakers’ Hall and all enquiries relating to genealogical records should be directed to the Guildhall Library or the London Metropolitan Archives.
For areas outside of the metropolis, try the local council record office or the National Association of Master Bakers.
