Golfing Society Meeting

Our Golfing Society held it's second meeting at Walton Heath on the 12th October and we have to thank Past Master John Renshaw for kindly arranging for us to play there.

We had 28 playing of which 11 were members, and all enjoyed a magnificent day. The course was in superb condition, the fairways were better than a many greens that I have played on this year thus the greens were far too good for me. The match was followed  by a delicious carvery lunch  followed by prize giving.

The highest scoring Member was Assistant Paul Manduca, on 37 points, who was duly presented with the large Pewter mug. The highest scoring guest  was Oliver Pawle again on 37 and as he was also a member of Paul Manduca's team, his team also won the team prize with a combined score of 134. The third highest score went to Bev Taylor on 35 and the forth went to Phil Stanton on 34.  All were rewarded with copious bottles of wine.

I would like to thank Walton Heath for their hospitality and the magnificent condition of the course and to say a thank you to Henry Weber for travelling all the way from Hampshire to present the prizes.
