After nineteen years of serving as Beadle and Assistant to the Company, Tony and Sue White have retired. They left the Hall on the 28th July 2011 to retire back to their house in Portsmouth and to enjoy th
eir chiildren and grandchildren growing up. Tony joined the Company in 1992 having left the Royal Marine Band Service with the rank of Band Colour Sergeant. During his time with the Company he had become the welcoming face of Bakers' Hall.
The Company expressed its grateful thanks at a reception held in their honour at Bakers' Hall on 21st July. The Master presented them with two silver beakers with 24-carat gold lining suitably inscribed together with a cheque. The beakers were made by the well known City silversmith and jeweller, Grant Macdonald and we hope will be a reminder to them of many happy years at Bakers' Hall.
The Company wishes both well in a long and happy retirement.
